Real Time and Delayed Data Distribution Real Time and Delayed Data Distribution

This licence is required if your firm is distributing LME and Third Party data in services to third parties. This includes distribution of the following data:

  • Real time and 30 minute delayed;
  • LBMA;
  • Transparency and Reference Data.
Non-Display Use of Data Non-Display Use of Data

Licence permitting use of LME data in non-display applications. This includes, but is not limited to trading applications, applications used for risk management of LME positions, and asset administration applications.


LME Usage Licence LME Usage Licence

This licence is required if your firm is using London Metal Exchange (LME) Data and/or Trademarks for either of the following uses, other than for limited internal business use:

  1. for valuation and/or pricing activities that do not constitute Non-Display Use; and/or
  2. as a reference price in transactions
LBMA PGM Usage Licence LBMA PGM Usage Licence

This licence is required if your firm is using London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Platinum and/or LBMA Palladium (PGM) Data and/or Trademarks for either of the following uses, other than for limited internal business use:

  1. for valuation and/or pricing activities; and/or
  2. as a reference price in transactions
Next Day Delayed Distribution Licence Next Day Delayed Distribution Licence

This licence is required if your firm wishes to redistribute LME and/or LBMA PGM Data externally after 00.00 GMT.

If you wish to redistribute LME and/or LBMA PGM Data externally on the same day as it is published by the LME, you will need to apply for a real time or 30 minutes delayed distribution licence. For more information, click to contact us.

Private Investors Licence Private Investors Data Distribution

Licence permitting distribution of certain LME data to users qualified as Private Investors only.

 
Natural User Licence Natural User Licence

Subscribers of fee-liable LME Pre-Trade Data may be eligible under the LME's Natural User Policy to net the associated fees on a 'per user' basis. Subscribers can apply here to sign a direct agreement with the LME. If approved, firms will be required to report their users directly to the LME and will be billed accordingly.

Structured Products Structured Products

Financial OTC Booking Fee Participants who would like to use LME Data in the trading of OTC financial instruments that fulfil specific criteria may opt to licence such transactions under this licence, rather than under the Financial OTC Booking Fee Policy. This is for trading in financial instruments which have a material portion of their market risk made up of any of all of the following characteristics:

  • Multiple commodity reference prices;
  • Non-vanilla optionality;
  • Other complex derivative structure which is complicated to calculate and report under the FOTCBF policy.
